CMA Dr. W. V. Balaji has been working as the Principal of Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Arts College run by Pondicherry Society for Higher and Technical Education, Puducherry from 1st March 2016. He holds the post of Principal in Kasthurba College for Women, Villianur, Puducherry from 01.06.2015 to 29.02.2016. He is a Post Graduate in commerce from the prestigious Presidency College, Chennai and was awarded M.Phil Degree in Commerce from D.G.Vaishnav College, Chennai. A Doctorate from Bharathidasan University, Trichirapallai and passed the final examination of ICWAI from the most prestigious Institute of Cost Accountants of India, Kolkatta. He has 28 years of teaching and research experience. He worked as Lecturer in Commerce for the period of two years from 1989 to 1991 at Sir Theagaraya College, Chennai. He joined as lecturer in commerce in Arignar Anna Government Arts College, Karaikal after the appointment offered by the Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi to the Union Territory of Puducherry during 1991. He was transferred in the same capacity to Avvaiyar Government College for women, Karaikal in the year 1999 and in 2006 became Associate Professor in Commerce.
His research for Master of Philosophy was on Performance Evaluation of Primary Cotton Handloom Weavers' Co- operative Societies in Kancheepuram. He persuaded his doctoral research on the Organizational Effectiveness of Spinning Mills in the Union Territory of Puducherry. He has supervised and produced many M.Phil Graduates.
Being a versatile scholar and an efficient academician, Dr. W.V. Balaji, had been the coordinator for more than 25 National Seminars. He has been the resource person at various seminars, workshop and conferences held in the institutions of high repute across the nation. He has presented a number of research papers and published scholarly articles in his area of Specialization.
